Known as the “Pianists to the Presidents,” David Osborne returns for a command performance. A frequent White House performer, David Osborne delights audiences with a mixture of classical, jazz, pop, inspirational, patriotic and Broadway show tunes. David’s performance in Spring 2016 was such a hit that we are bringing him back again this year. A perfect program for anyone who plays or loves piano!
Pianist, composer and visual artist Scott Kirby brings a unique program that blends live piano, narration and his own artwork in a multimedia presentation. Scott’s focus on American music spans folk music, Sousa, Joplin and Stephen Foster, perhaps America’s first professional composer (of Camptown Races fame), but also includes his own compositions as he takes us on a journey through small town America. A unique program that is not to be missed!
The Guthrie brothers, Jeb and Jock, bring an authentic tribute to the music of Simon and Garfunkel in this engaging and delightful program. Their beautiful blended harmony pay tribute to the songs of one of America’s best-loved pop duos. Blending stories, trivia and humor, you’ll be singing along as we remember the music of Simon and Garfunkel.
“Ireland’s Funny Man” returns to Lincoln to present his “Musical Journey of Ireland.” Cahal’s 2011 performance so well received we wanted to bring him back in 2018. Blending Irish standards, a Scottish medley, unusual arrangements (boogie-woogie Tchaikovsky?!), stories and a little Irish humor, Cahal provides a delightful program to round out our 2017-2018 concert season. An Irish native and past winner of the Irish National Song Contest, Cahal’s skills as an entertainer and musician are internationally acknowledged. A rousing way to end our 60th season!
